2013 Garcia & Schwaderer Vigno Carignane Maule Valley

Lovely black core, deep bright ruby. Smells of horse tack and baled hay, sunlit meadow of wildflowers, whiff of hot asphalt and welding torch on a mid-summer afternoon. Persistent cherry and red fruit flavors. Motor oil acidity collides in harmony with round, silky tannins and lack of corrections. Elegant texture of granite soil and dry farmed, old vines Carignane. Finishes strong with old oak and tart fruit. Parker may have been a bit overly generous at 95 points and I was the only one in our tasting group who really loved this wine, but I think RP was pretty damn close on this @garcia_schwaderer Vigno Chile wine 2013vintage via Instagram http://ift.tt/2fZnAJT
